is Professor of Excellence at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, a premier medical institute of India and has been teaching medical students and mentoring postgraduate students for over three decades. He has also worked as Director Principal of BSA Medical College, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Besides this, he has also worked in other institutes of repute like Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi and National Institute of Communicable Discases (NICD), Delhi. Dr. Baveja was awarded with a Gold Medal during his post graduation by University of Delhi. He has also been honoured with the State Award by Govt. of NCT of Delhi for his meritorious services in the field of healthcare; and Alumnus Award of Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, presented by the Vice President of lIndia. He has published a number of scientific papers in National and International journals. In his zeal to pass on his knowledge. he has authored a number of books for undergraduate and possgraduate medical students. He is also a recipient of an international fellowship at Royal Postgraduate Medical School (RPMS) and Hammersmith Hospital, London, UK. He has conducted research work on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He was invited to present his scientific research work in International Conferences held in Boston, USA; Gothenburg. Sweden; Geneva, Switzerland: Bangkok, Thailand; Maastricht, Netherlands; Singapore and Melbourne, Australia. He was also invited as Keynote Speaker in many of these conferences
